Job Description
We are currently working closely with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £400m who due to securing a number of very notable schemes, are looking for a senior MEP Quantity surveyor or commercial manager to join their London business unit. Reporting to a commercial director you will initially be involved in a complex £45m M&E mixed use commercial scheme in Central London which is being secured through a PCSA tender acting as commercial lead with autonomy to manage and lead.
Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor Duties
- Managing & leading the commercial aspects of a £30m+ project.
- Managing a team of direct reports as well as liaising with specialist subcontractors.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee procurement, contracts, and performance.
- Ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Play a key role from project planning to completion.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders of different levels and disciplines.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience with similar sizeable projects (M&E values £20m+)
- Experience managing MEP subcontractors and handling claims effectively.
- Ability to work closely with teams from top-tier main contractors who our client has a solid relationship.
- Strong commercial knowledge and ability to manage all stages of project lifecycle.
